Why The Name "Blessed Quivers"
The name is chosen from Scripture, directly referencing Psalm 127: 3-5. Children are a blessing and having/raising them up is a beautiful undertaking. As such, this name stuck.

What Is a Newborn Care Specialist?
A Newborn Care Specialist (or NCS for short) is a care provider that specializes in newborn care. This is the more accurate title, but other countries may also use the title "baby nurse", while some in the U.S. use "night nanny".
A newborn care specialist goes into the home of the family, possibly traveling domestically or even internationally to offer services to families.
These services are daily tasks related to the baby, such as bottling (or bringing baby to mom for breastfeeding during the night), sleep training, logging daily events related to the newborn, and more.
Families usually request for overnight care, as this ensures parents get necessary sleep, but some also want daytime care or 24/7 care.
Services provided by an NCS not only help the baby, but also help the family as they adjust into their roles as parents.
Although we are both Newborn Care Specialists, we are also willing, and able, to provide services to help care for the mother. This may be in conjunction with daytime or evening care for the baby, or it may be requested solely for the mother.
This care will be tailored to the needs of the mother and so the rates may differ depending on the need. You can book a free virtual meeting or contact us via the contact form at the bottom of this page to discuss this in detail.
What is Special About a Newborn Care Specialist?
This is a fair question to ask, especially when it comes to the cost difference between a nanny/babysitter and an NCS. NCS's typically charge more, so what are some things that make an NCS so special?

1.
Newborn Specific Care
An NCS is focused primarily on the newborn stage. Education centers around this stage as well
3.
Continuing Education
An NCS typically continues education with learning concepts such as sleep training, and providing lactation education to mothers. They may also learn how to educate parents on safe sleep practices and mental health issues such as postpartum depression (PPD), postpartum anxiety, etc.
2.
Training
Unlike a nanny or babysitter, typically an NCS receives education, via training, about the newborn concerning matters such as cradle cap, baby acne, acid reflux, allergies, prematurity, and much more
4.
Experience
While nannies and babysitters may have experience with the newborn stage, they will likely see children through older ages as well. An NCS's experience primarily centers around the newborn stage of life

Why Might You Need Our Services?
-
Rest
-
This is something parents can neglect, or not get enough of. We are here to provide help so the family can rest. After such a momentous event, this is, without a doubt, much needed
-
-
Support
-
When we come into your home, we will be providing support during a time there may be no support for the parents, or at least not for the entirety of the newborn period
-

-
Establishing a Routine
-
This support not only aids to provide a smooth transition post-birth, but also helps parents who are likely sleep-deprived and more focused on the short term, the here and now, to establish a routine that can carry on long-term throughout the newborn stage

Services Offered
Home Visits
As newborn care specialists we tend to the basic needs of the baby, all within the comfort of your home.
Travel
With caring for your baby, we are open to offering services for families we begin working for in-state. Travel services are short-term. Feel free to contact us and we can discuss this further.
Hours
Services are primarily overnight, but we are happy to work with families to provide daytime care. Although my Mom only does daytime and afternoon care, I am also able to provide 24/7 care, and "awake care"* as needed.
*Typically, an NCS will rest during an overnight shift. Although, with "awake care," the NCS does not sleep during the night, but rather stays awake the entire shift. Due to this, the price of "awake care" is often more expensive.

Locations
Locally, this business serves Anoka county, Hennepin county, and Ramsey county, although flexibility may be had with serving cities around these counties as well.

Aside from local areas, we are open to travelling domestically, and possibly internationally, with families we would already begin to work with in-state. Although, this would be for short-term events such as vacations and short visits out-of-state.
